How to Join
Joining the Freemasons is easier than you might think – and it starts with a simple conversation.
Know a Freemason?
The traditional way into Freemasonry has always been through a friend or acquaintance who’s already a member. If someone you know has a square and compass on their car, wears a Masonic lapel pin, t-shirt, jacket, or hat, or mentions they’re a Freemason – just ask them about it. They’ll be happy to talk. Freemasons are proud of their membership and genuinely enjoy introducing the craft to good men who might be a good fit.
Not sure you know anyone? Get in touch with us directly.
If you can’t think of a Masonic connection, that’s no problem at all. Just give us a call or send us an email using the contact details on this page, and we’ll have a relaxed, no-pressure conversation about what Freemasonry is and what it might offer you. And you might be more connected than you think: it’s a surprisingly common experience for new members to walk into their first Lodge meeting and find themselves among men they already know and respect from work, sport, or their community.
Meet us for a beer or a coffee.
Once you’ve made contact, we’ll invite you along to an informal get-together (often over a drink or at a social occasion) where you can meet some of our members in a relaxed setting, ask whatever’s on your mind, and get a feel for who we are. There’s no commitment at this point, and no hard sell. We want you to feel comfortable, and we want to get to know you too.
A conversation for you and your family.
If you’d like to take things further, we’ll arrange a more formal meeting with you and your partner or family. This is your chance to ask anything: about the ceremonies, the time commitment, the costs, or what membership actually looks like. We believe the people closest to you should feel good about your decision, so we’re happy to answer their questions too.
Your Masonic journey begins.
When the time is right, you’ll be invited to attend a Lodge meeting where you will be Initiated according to our Ancient Rites and Ceremonies and your Masonic journey will begin. It’s a moment that Freemasons across the world and across the centuries have all shared, including Sir Ed Hillary, Buzz Aldrin, Winston Churchill, and Oscar Wilde. We look forward to welcoming you to that tradition.

Integrity. Friendship. Respect. Service
In an uncertain world, our principles ring as true today as they ever have before. Membership is open to people from all backgrounds.
We believe in:

Acting with integrity
